CREATE
We create cultural experiences.
Exhibitions, live music, film screenings, workshops, talks, markets, festivals and experimental formats.
We develop our own programmes while leaving room for ideas that don't fit neatly into an existing category.
HOST
We give communities a place to gather.
From recurring sessions to independent collectives and niche communities, Hangar provides a physical space where people can meet around shared interests.
CONNECT
We create opportunities for people to find each other.
An artist meets a musician.
A community meets a filmmaker.
A workshop leads to a collaboration.
Someone walks into an event and discovers a community they didn't know existed.
This is the part that makes Hangar an ecosystem rather than a venue.
SUPPORT
We help ideas become real.
Hangar can provide space, production support, communication, audience access and connections for artists, communities, independent initiatives and organisations developing cultural projects.
This is also where the commercial side becomes legitimate: people can actually approach Hangar with a project.
